I am so excited to share this blog post with you guys,  about 10 Beautiful Minted Fine Art Prints for Home Decor! Now, you know that I love my little thrift store African wood work his and her praying hands that I've had above my nightstands since we moved in.  But I've been feeling the need to switch it up lately and add a little more pizazz and color in our bedroom. Fortunately, Minted had just what I was looking for in these two prints: "Last Tuesday" and "History Repeats, which I had matted and framed by minted as well.  The second...

Today we've been married for sixteen years. But the story I have to tell you happened two years ago, when we had been married for fourteen years. We were sitting in a tiny cafe in San Francisco, California. We were taking a much-needed getaway, a chance to decompress and unwind and most importantly, an opportunity to connect with one another and have a break from the insanity of our schedules and lives as parents and new business owners. I was doing what I always do when I actually have time to decompress — I was dreaming.  I was talking aloud about how...

This past weekend we hosted a bridal shower and we had so many messages and questions about it that I thought I would share a blog post on Beautiful Fall Bridal Shower Ideas! First of all, I could have in no way done this shower without the amazing hostesses who all contributed to making this bridal shower for Megan so extraordinarily amazing.  Oh, and speaking of Megan...

Today I'm joining 6 other bloggers to share the loveliest looks of fall, from home decor to fashion. We're so glad you're here! We are CC and Mike, a husband and wife accidental design duo who designs, builds, flips, and remodels houses in the Midwest.  What is an "accidental design duo" you might ask? Well, two years ago we started an Instagram account to sell my print art and share some of our home projects.  Mike Miller had just built our house and I designed it, a hobby of ours since we were newlyweds, and we decided it was finally time...

It's rainy and the weather has cooled off here in Oklahoma today so I'm sharing this Quick and Easy Five Minute Tortilla Soup Recipe with you guys!  Because I'm pretending like this cooler fall weather is going to stick around and it's going to be all pumpkin spice lattes and soup and fall candles and fires on the back patio soon!  Let's be honest, we live in Oklahoma so this weather is probably just a teaser and it's going to be 100 degrees next week, but right now, it's starting to feel like soup weather is right around the corner...

Today I'm covering Trends to Try: High Waisted Jeans for you guys! Why? Because gone are the days of super low-rise jeans and all the moms in the house said - CAN I GET AN AMEN!?!  I mean seriously, after trying all these high-rise jeans I don't know that I can ever go back to low-rise.  Let's just say it feels way more "supportive" to have those jeans come up nice and high and have full coverage of, well, anything and everything. But this trend isn't just for moms and post-baby bods.  Trust me, the high school and college girls have...

One of the most asked about things in our house is our canopy bed, so I thought I would write a post for you guys on The Ultimate Guide to Affordable Canopy Beds.  You see, our canopy bed is from Restoration Hardware and I will glad source it for you here.  But, so much has changed in the four years since I designed our home and master bedroom.  When I designed our bedroom, I was dead set on having a canopy bed but alas, they were impossible to find.  I searched and searched and searched and finally found one I loved at Restoration...

Growing up one of my favorite memories of summer was when my mom would make these easy frozen Summer Fruit Cups. They are so so refreshing on those hot summer days and they are a fun and healthy alternative to popsicles.  These were hands down my favorite summer treat and now I love making them for my kids in the summer as well.  I'm going to whip up a big old batch of these this weekend and just keep them frozen in our bar freezer for my kids and their friends to grab when they want a fun, refreshing treat...

First of all, if you're seeing this post entitled "Making Drastic Parenting Choices" and think that means that I consider myself some parenting guru, let's get something straight right now: that couldn't be further from the truth.  I am just a mom who is loving her kids fiercely while trying to figure it all out and stay sane through the ups and downs of this thing we call parenting, who isn't afraid to share the struggles and triumphs along the way. I guess two years into this CC and Mike blogging journey, I find myself in a unique position where I...
