Ok so I said I was trying to get back on the eating and meal planning bandwagon and I’m sticking to it with these pork carnitas. Especially after little momma made homemade cookies last night for family movie night and dear good gracious they were DELICIOUS and I couldn’t lay off. Also, I think it should basically be girl code that if you find a delicious and easy crockpot meal, you HAVE to share it. So without further ado, I give you my favorite quick and easy recipe for crockpot pork carnitas….My sister in law told me about this quick and easy recipe a year or so ago and it has become a go to favorite. It’s healthy, its easy, and it feeds a ton of people. What more could you want?
In a bowl combine olive oil, 2 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp. cumin and I tablespoon olive oil
Spread all over a 2 pound pork shoulder
Cut up on whole onion and seed a jalapeño and chop.
Cover pork with the jalapeño and onion then squeeze and entire lime over the top and put it in as well.
- 2 pounds boneless pork shoulder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 onion, coarsely, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno, seeded
- 1 lime
- 3 tbsp boneless pork shoulder
