Hello and Welcome to CC and Mike's Easter Parade Home Tour! Hopefully you are stopping by from Deborah's at B Vintage blog and you've just taken her tour!  After you are done with my tour please head to my friend Kathleen's blog - Lindsay Hill Interiors and take her gorgeous tour then follow the blog hop at the end of this post to see lots of Easter and Spring inspiration for your homes! Now before you take the CC and Mike Easter Parade Home Tour, I have a confession to make—I'm not a big Easter bunny fan. OK, there I said it....

So we just got back from Orlando (look for more blog posts coming from our "We are the Miller's cross country RV roadtrip to Harry Potter world coming soon) and much to our surprise, it's warmer in Oklahoma than it was in Florida. WHAT? That has me all excited about grilling out and spending some time by the pool so I thought I would share a post on How to Marinate Grilled chicken in case you are in the mood for some outdoor cooking as well.  Years ago I went to a friend's house for dinner and I had the...

There are some amazing sales going on this weekend including a huge Wayfair flash sale, so that means it's the perfect time to stock up on some affordable rugs for your home. I've compiled this 13 Affordable Rugs for Your Home list to make navigating the sale easier for you guys. All of these rugs are beautiful, versatile, and would look great in many different areas of the home including living rooms, dining rooms, master bedrooms, bathrooms, and even laundry rooms, game rooms, and entryways. I ordered a new rug for my bathroom and am scheming on another one of these rugs for the laundry...

Transition your closet for Spring by shopping my outfit: [show_shopthepost_widget id="2477300"]   Okay, girls, we need to talk. I mean is it just me or does the weather feel like a Katy Perry song right now? It's hot then it's cold, yes then it's no, up then it's down, in then it's out (insert that eye roll emoticon here).  It can be frustrating and if you're like me, you're having trouble with this question— "WHAT IN THE HECK DO I WEAR?!?!" You're over all the jeans and sweaters and boots you've been wearing and you're ready to start to transition your closet for...

Speaking of talented ladies, I want to give a big "thank you" to Jen from Decor Gold Designs and Randi from Randi Garrett Design for inviting me to be a part of this tour. Thank you so much for stopping by our little corner of the world and...

Kristen Cavallari peep toes | Denim Off the Shoulder Dress | Free People Wildflower Fields Tunic | Kate Spade watch | Black Gladiator Sandals | Madewell black and white blouse | Camo jacket | Buckle Sandals  I don't know what you had planned for the long weekend but I'm guessing you'd prefer not to spend 4 hours looking through 136 pages of sale items over at Nordstrom for the Nordstrom Winter Sale. So, I rounded up all my favorites for you to make shopping easier; and by some of my favorites, of course I mean all the cute Free People stuff...

It's time for Friday Favorites you guys, a collection of cool modern home decor items and pretties for your closet that I saw throughout the week and loved. It's time to start getting ready for spring and it's all about lace ups, bell sleeves, off the shoulders, and those Marc Fisher wedges that are all the rage, trust me. I included some fun modern home decor items as well. Hope you find something you like and I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend with the ones they love! [show_boutique_widget id="555287"]...

Last Friday, one of my best girls and I shrugged off all our responsibilities — you know, like seven kids between the two of us and a million job responsibilities and without a doubt, a ridiculous amount of unfolded laundry we should've been attending to — and headed to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, for a much needed Girl's Trip to the Pioneer Woman Mercantile. Yes, it was worth the drive and no, it wasn't just because of that chocolate cake. OK, the chocolate cake didn't hurt, nor did the chicken fried steak. Oh my heavens I'm still dreaming about that gravy.  Maybe I gained a...

I've been thinking a lot about fairytales lately. More specifically, I've been thinking about how there's really no such thing as a fairytale, if there's not a villain.  Cinderella had the wicked stepmother and evil sisters who made her life a living hell;  Sleeping Beauty had Maleficent to contend with; Snow White had the wicked queen trying to murder her because of jealousy; Rapunzel had her kidnapper brainwashing her and keeping her captive for her own selfish gain. Villains are what make a fairytale a fairytale. How boring would it be if the story went like this...

I'm going to give it to you straight — this recipe isn't winning any culinary awards or anything like that but you know what, there is something to be said for quick and easy recipes that your kids will eat like this Hamburger Soup. My mom always made this soup when I was growing up and now I make it for my kids.  It's one of those super easy, you usually have everything you need for it on hands, whip it up in 10 minutes kind of recipes - that's what I'm talking about! I made it for my kiddos...
