Today I’m covering Trends to Try: High Waisted Jeans for you guys!
Why? Because gone are the days of super low-rise jeans and all the moms in the house said – CAN I GET AN AMEN!?! I mean seriously, after trying all these high-rise jeans I don’t know that I can ever go back to low-rise. Let’s just say it feels way more “supportive” to have those jeans come up nice and high and have full coverage of, well, anything and everything. But this trend isn’t just for moms and post-baby bods. Trust me, the high school and college girls have been all over this trend for awhile now and it looks good on them too.
I have tried on just about every pair of high-waisted jeans that are out there and have narrowed it down to my top picks. I’m going to give you some reviews, show you some pictures, and show you why I chose the Madewell button-front high waisted jeans for my pick. But I’m also going to give you more affordable options as well.
I hope at the end of this post on Trends To Try: High Waisted Jeans, you’ll be ready to give some high-waisted jeans a try yourself. And as always, if you do, let me know what you think, send me pictures, send me a direct message or an email. I love hearing fro you guys

CC’s Reviews:
- Madewell: These are my top pick for High Waisted Jeans for the Fall. They are also the most expensive option and as is usually the case, you get what you pay for. These are a premium denim with the perfect wash and just the right amount of stretch to make them comfortable. The button front and detailing are perfect and I feel like they are the most flattering high-waisted jean I have tried on. Here’s another look at the Madewell high waisted jeans!
- Express High Waisted Jeans – I have not personally tried these on but have read reviews and seen them on other bloggers. I think they are a great alternative to the Madewell jeans and are more cost effective. I also put these on my recommendations because I’ve talked to several women who say they do not prefer the button front. Personally, I love the look of the button front on high-waisted jeans, but if it is not your preferred look, the Express jeans might be for you!
- Target Button Front High Rise Released Hem Skinny Jean – OK so I have to say these are a pretty fabulous knock-off of the Madewell Jeans. I still prefer the Madewell jeans hands down because of the premium denim and better details, but truly, the Target high rise button ups look great on and are a fabulous price point. You will see them pictured below (excuse the poor quality photo this was snapped in a Target dressing room and well, let’s be honest, that Target dressing room lighting is atrocious).

- Target Gray Wash High Rise Released Hem Skinny Jean – I tried these high rise jeans on when I was in Target as well and I have to say I was impressed with them as well. They were flattering, comfortable, and oh so affordable. Again, if you prefer no button front and are looking for something affordable and perhaps in a different wash than the regular denim, these might be thre right option for you!
